The Middlebury Christmas Angels will be accepting Winter Warmth Donations at the fire station from 4:30-8pm! Help them stuff an Ambulance with new blankets, coats, hats, ear bands, gloves/mittens, PJ’s, winter boots, snow pants. All sizes are welcome as well as non-perishable food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, laundry soap and CASH donations!
Warm up and fellowship with Friends at the fire department; offering HOT Chocolate and Coffee to cold shoppers!
The Parks Department invites you to come experience nature in the winter INDOORS. Many interactive demonstrations will show you what animals do to cope in the winter season. Children will learn about hibernation, winter coats and adaptations. Visit the Middlebury Fire Station 5-8pm.
Caribbean Auto Spa will be donating $1 from each wash on December 17th to the Middlebury Christmas Angels! Stop on by to wash all the salt off of your vehicle and help out a wonderful cause! They will also be selling discounted packages this evening and throughout December, perfect for just about anyone on your list!
The Market Place of Middlebury: Sales – still time to get great and unique Christmas gifts. They will be Collecting items for Riley’s Children Hospital and The Ronald McDonald House. Please see www.indianprairiealpacas.com for more information on what is needed or stop in The Market Place and pick up a wish list. Items must be dropped off at The Market Place of Middlebury by December 17. We are continuing to collect money for The Middlebury Food Pantry. The Quilt Raffle benefit for the Hans Miller family will still be going on. The drawing is on December 20. Tickets are just $10.00 each. Santa will be here starting at 6 PM. It is not to late to let the jolly man know what is on your Christmas list. This is a great chance to get a Christmas picture.

This year will highlight 13 ice carvings sponsored at the following Middlebury businesses:
- Varns and Hoover with a tool box
- Gohns brothers with a Christmas themed carving
- First State Bank with a wreath
- Legacy Furniture with a china cabinet
- Spiceberry Vine with a candle with a berry wreath around it
- Chupp Herbs with pill bottles
- Flower Petal’r with a willow tree figure
- The Cinnamon Stick with a lady dressed in winter clothing with accessories
- Middlebury Fire Department with their logo
- Ace Hardware with a chimney where stockings are hung
- Rulli’s Italian Restaurant with their name and ice tunnel luge
- Caribbean Auto Spa will do a palm tree
- and then Market Place will do the largest, the Holy Family craved from a 1,200 pound block of ice.

HOMETOWN HOLIDAYS ICE FESTIVAL

Watch Live Carving throughout town beginning at 4pm, Don’t miss the magnificent display of craftsmanship.
FREE Ice Skating in the park, weather permitting you may bring your own skates and enjoy a wonderful time twirling around the ice (rentals will not be available).
Park your car or buggy and hop aboard the hometown holidays bus! Visit several locations and finish all of your shopping in one trip! The bus will stop at 6 locations around town, The Market Place, Downtown, Old Creamery Antiques, Ace Hardware, Essenhaus and Caribbean Auto Spa. Beginning at 5pm it will run continuously until 8pm with the final route beginning around 7:45.
Caribbean Auto Spa will be offering all washes for $5 All Day. Stop by from 5-8 to see their live Ice Carving and pick up a special discounted package for someone on your list.

The Market Place of Middlebury will Raffle off a hand-made quilt to benefit the Hans Miller Family for their upcoming mission work. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each, the drawing takes place December 20th.

Children’s Activities:
Visit the Library to make a special gift for someone on their list. SANTA: Will be making a special appearance at the Lily Pad on Main Street from 4-8pm so that little ones can let him know what they want for Christmas!
Visit the Essenhaus Tour of Trees, 40 magnifcently decorated Christmas trees will be on display throughout the grounds. Pick up a map and choose your favorite tree, turn in your choice to be entered into the drawings for one of 3 baskets filled with all sorts of Christmas goodies. November 19 (10-8)& 20 (9-8).

Middlebury Mercantile to Paint your Own Pumpkin! Children and adults can purchase and paint pumpkins for $3 each in the tent next to the store! Proceeds from the event will go to a local charity.
Quarter Votes for Best Pumpkin! Bring your already decorated pumpkin to The Market Place of Middlebury beginning on October 1st for their contest! You may cast votes for each of the 5 age categories, each vote is 25 cents, Proceeds will go to the Middlebury Food Pantry. Stop in for in store specials from 5-8pm and cast the final votes, October 15th.
Free Outdoor Movie: It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown will be shown in Memorial Park at Dusk! Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and find a spot to enjoy the free show! **In case of bad weather, the movie will be shown at the Library.
FREE Popcorn can be found at the Middlebury Mercantile! Look for samples of Hot Spice drink from Chupp’s Herbs and challenge a friend to a game of CornHole!

The Weather is Crisp Let’s Talk Fall Festival
Don’t miss the 8th Annual Middlebury Fall Festival Friday and Saturday, September, 17 and 18th held in Middlebury’s centrally located in Memorial Park with special events held throughout town.
Shop the delightful Middlebury merchants; stroll through booths featuring: Artisans, Crafters, Farmer’s Market, Enjoy Children’s Activities, Pie Baking Contests and Top Rated Entertainers. Friday evening features a Community Smoked Pork Chop Dinner Benefit held at the Fire Station, a spectacular fall fireworks display at Das Dutchman Essenhaus at dusk. Middlebury’s 3rd Friday falls during the festival this month and to mark the occasion there will be a special drawing. If you visit all of the participating businesses between 5-8pm, and get your 3rd Friday Flyer signed, you will be eligible to win a Middlebury Chamber Gift Certificate. Stop into any participating business for details.
Saturday start the day with a Sausage Gravy & Biscuit breakfast from 7:00-10:00 a.m. Visit the Das Dutchman Essenhaus for the Car show and the Middlebury Historical Museum for the Antique Tractor Display. The town will be bursting with activity with entertainers lots of great sales and vendor booths. Don’t miss the “Cruise-Out” at 3pm the classic cars will make a fun cruise through downtown Middlebury to top off the afternoon.
For the convenience of all attendees a shuttle service will be continuously running between Memorial Park, the Middlebury Community Historical Museum and Saturday’s Car Show, at no charge compliments of Jayco.
